The Formidable grp

The "Formidable LT 100" with GRP hull. The pattern for the hull is produced on the computer and the master pattern is CNC machined to produce an accurate and symmetrical hull shape. The finished glass fibre epoxy resin hull is supplied painted in its recommended colours; the lower hull in Red oxide colour and it's upper matt Black.

The cabin is also GRP and in colour white or Grey. The individual parts of the boat are CNC machined in 0.8mm, I .5mm, 3.Omm and 6mm thick grade "A" Birch plywood. These are bridged in for easy removal. Ample hardwood strips for decking and other areas are included. The masts are taper turned hardwood.

A comprehensive set of good quality fittings comprising of stanchions, ship's wheel, telegraph, anchor, bollards, fairleads, deadeyes, blocks, rigging cord, capstan, side lights, and a four-blade precision cast propeller with a roller bearing propeller shaft.

The kits include virtually everything you need to produce a fine model, including six seamen made in pewter, illustrating fine detail. Instructions are included for fitting a "Max II" steam plant or our current "Richmond" plant.

The construction manual has over 60 pages of detail with A4 construction drawings, giving a host of technical information to assist with the building of this fine scale model. The kit excludes paints adhesives, ballast, drive equipment and radio control.
